2015 Directory of ADMHS Programs and Services

Access for hearing-impaired persons is available through the 711 Telecommunications Relay Service.

The Department of Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health Services (ADMHS) provides treatment, rehabilitation and support services to approximately 7,600 clients with mental illness and 4,500 clients with substance use disorders annually. If you or a family member or friend is in need services, click here.

Systems ChangeIt's an exciting time for the substance use and mental health field in Santa Barbara County as we co-create a more collaborative multi-disciplinary system of care to better serve our clients, their families, and the broader community. Mental Health Programs: The Department is responsible for ensuring the provision of mental health services mandated by the State of California for children with serious emotional disturbance, adults with serious mental illness and all Medi-Cal beneficiaries with specialty mental health needs. 

Alcohol and Drug Programs:  The Department’s Alcohol and Drug Program Division (ADP) has responsibility for ensuring the delivery of publicly funded alcohol and drug prevention, early intervention, treatment and recovery support services.

May 5 (Santa Barbara and Santa Maria), Shortly after 9 am the Board of Supervisors will present two resolutions.  One acknowledging Mental Health Awareness Month and a second saluting the community volunteer work of Dr. J. Manuel Casas.  This will occur to the Board of Supervisors' Hearing Room, 4th Floor, 105 East Anapamu Street and video conferenced to the Board Hearing Room, 511 East Lakeside Parkway, Santa Maria.

May 7 (Santa Barbara), 6 PM.  Mad Art Pop-Up Event.
