Public Solicitation

Please be advised that the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD's) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Fiscal Year 2017 Continuum of Care Program Competition was released on Friday, July 14, 2017. The federal government will be providing funds to help local organizations and governments deliver housing and services to people who have been experiencing homelessness.

The Santa Maria / Santa Barbara County Continuum of Care (CoC) issues this Public Solicitation for new Project Applications. We encourage agencies that do not currently receive CoC Program funds, as well as current recipients, to consider applying for a new permanent supportive housing project, a new rapid re-housing project, and/or a new transitional housing/rapid rehousing hybrid project. For more information, please find enclosed a Summary of the FY 2017 CoC Program Competition NOFA.  Please note that HUD released a revised CoC Estimated Annual Renewal Demand Report on July 20, 2017.  As a result of the revised report, Santa Maria/Santa Barbara CoC's estimates for funding have changed; these changes are now reflected in the Summary.
