As administrator of housing and community development programs, the Grants Administration Section’s mission is to:
Address the broad spectrum of the community's diverse housing needs;
Develop sufficient funding resources through federal grant programs and other resources to provide a wide range of housing opportunities;
Work collaboratively with the community at large to develop community development programs that address the needs of low and moderate income families and individuals;
Provide technical assistance to developers of affordable housing projects and local service providers;
Provide education to citizen groups, members of the development community, and others interested in the provision of affordable housing and community development opportunities; and
The Grants Administration Section administers the following federal grant programs:
Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG)
HOME Investment Partnerships Act Program (HOME)
Local funds, known as Housing Trust Funds, may also be utilized to fill funding gaps for affordable housing projects.
