Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Program

The ESG Program provides funding to: (1) engage homeless individuals and families living on the street; (2) improve the number and quality of emergency shelters for homeless individuals and families; (3) help operate these shelters; (4) provide essential services to shelter residents, (5) rapidly re-house homeless individuals and families, and (6) prevent families/individuals from becoming homeless.

Notice of Funding Availability

The County of Santa Barbara serves as the Administrative Entity for ESG funds made available to the Santa Maria/Santa Barbara County CoC Service Area by the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development. On May 9, 2016, HCD issued a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) to inform eligible organizations about available ESG funds for the 2016 Operating Year.
