Annual Health Visits:

The purpose of the Annual Wellness Exam is to screen patients for common conditions such as diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), high cholesterol and other conditions. It is also to make sure that a patient’s cancer screening exams are up to date, such as exams for breast cancer (breast exam and mammogram), cervical cancer (pap smear), colon cancer (colonoscopy), lung cancer (low dose CT) and others. It is to ensure that a patient’s vaccines are up to date, such as tetanus and whooping cough, pneumonia, influenza, hepatitis, shingles and others. It is to make sure that routine lab work for a patient’s existing conditions is up to date, such as hemoglobin A1C for diabetes, and metabolic panels for hypertension. It is an opportunity for a patient to discover information about diet, exercise and other factors that may benefit his or her health. Based on a patient’s age, sex and past medical and family history, appropriate health maintenance will be discussed at the annual wellness exam. Schedule one today!
