Michael Camacho-Craft - Health Care Administrator

Michael Camacho-Craft  - Health Care Administrator, he oversees Santa Maria Health Care Center which now includes Women's Health and the Health Care center located at Good Samaritan Homeless Shelter. 

Michael is committed to his staff and patients.

Dr. Lennon received his medical degree from Howard Univ College of Medicine in Washington, DC, and residency training at the Univ of South FL Family Practice Residency Program in Clearwater, FL.  He previously served as Medical Director at Bucktail Medical Ctr in rural, northcentral Renovo, PA under the National Health Service Corps scholarship program.  In 2008, Dr Lennon moved to the central CA coast and joined Santa Barbara Public Health Department as the Supervising Physician for the Santa Maria Health Care Center.  Since then, he was also appointed Medical Director for the county Health Care for the Homeless program. 


Dr. Lennon is grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of Santa Barbara County, and proud of the level of care we are providing our patients.  Under his leadership, many new initiatives are now in place or being piloted to improve access to care and the overall health of our community.

Dr. Botrous Tawadros


Dr. Botrous Tawadros graduated from UCLA/KMC Internal Medicine residency program.  Dr.Tawadros joined Santa Barbara County Public Health Department in January of 1994. As a board certified internist, he provides comprehensive care to adult patients with multiple medical problems.


Dr.Tawadros also provides care to HIV/AIDS patients in North County at the Santa Maria Health Care Center Public Health Department Infectious Diseases Center.

Dr.  Tushar Yadav


Dr. Yadav graduated from Chicago Medical School in 1998.  He joined the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department in 1999 and has been practicing Family Medicine at Santa Maria Health Care Center.

Dr Gabriela Diaz joined Santa Maria Health Care Center on January 6, 2015.

Dr.  Josephine (Phyllis) Preciado

Dr. Phyllis Preciado has joined Santa Maria Health Care Center as of September 2015. She began her career in health care serving as a Registered Nurse in Northern California for over 15 years.   She made the decision to pursue medical school  and graduated from University of California Irvine School of Medicine in 1999. She completed an Internal Medicine - Primary Care residency at Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland California in 2002.  After completion of her residency, Dr. Preciado was granted a fellowship in faculty development sponsored by the Human Resources Service Administration at the University of California San Francisco - Fresno Latino Center for Medical Education and Research.  She completed her faculty fellowship in 2005.  Prior to moving to Santa Barbara County, she worked at Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center in Hillsboro, Oregon.   Dr. Preciado served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at A.T. Still University  School of Osteopathic Medicine - Northwest Regional Health Care Community Campus in Portland, Oregon,  where she was a preceptor for Doctor of Osteopathic  Medicine students.  She is proud to have been actively involved in community health education for over 35 years. 

Dr. Preciado joined the Public Health Department - Lompoc Health Care Center as an Adult Primary Care Staff Physician in March of 2011 and now joined Santa Maria Health Care Center in September 2015..  Dr. Preciado has a three-fold focus in health care: providing evidence-based medical care for underserved and uninsured communities;  addressing health literacy utilizing a team-based model;  and mentoring pre-health students to pursue health related careers.

Robert Martin, PA


Robert Martin graduated from Charles Drew University in 1996 as a Physician Assistant. He joined Santa Barbara County Public Health Department in 1996.  Robert Martin has served in multiple Health Care Center locations, including Santa Maria, Lompoc and Cuyama. 


In his time with the Public Health Department, he contributes in multiple facets of service: Child Health (CHDP) , Women's Health, Urgent Care, Homeless Shelter Services, and at Juvenile Hall.  Robert enjoys speaking Spanish with patients. He is proud and happy to have the opportunity to serve his community.

Lisa DiModica has joined Santa Maria Health Care Centers as of March 2011.  She currently provides Urgent Care at Santa Maria Health Care Center and Good Samaritan Homeless Shelter.

Carolyn Griffith, MD FACOG

Dr. Carolyn Griffith received her degree in biochemistry from the University of California at San Diego. She attended Medical school at the University of   Southern California where she graduated on the Dean’s Honor list. Dr. Griffith worked in private practice in Santa Barbara for nine years, practicing out of both Goleta Valley and Cottage Hospitals. In 1998 she was selected as Physician of the Year for the Cottage Health System.


Dr. Griffith has worked for the Public Health Department since 2002. She is married and has three sons. Dr. Griffith enjoys all aspects of women’s health, and especially cherishes the opportunity to be a part of the birth process.


Nora Lewis, CNM

Nora Lewis is a Certified Nurse Midwife. She is a native of Santa Barbara, who attended Humboldt State University (BSN, 1973) and the University of Mississippi (CNM, 1976). She has practiced in a variety of clinical settings including Indian Health Service on the Navajo and Sioux reservations, LA County/USC, and private practice.

Kathryn Tribbey, CNM

Kathryn Reid is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Michigan in 1978.  University of Illinois, MSN in 1982.


I have done home births, birth center births and hospital births. I worked at USC-LAC Hospital in the mid 1980’s. I stopped attending births in 1999. I have been with SBCPHD since Sept, 2008.


I provide prenatal and postpartum care and see patients for annual exams and Paps and for minor gynecological problems. I enjoy the patients here in our center and try to encourage them to be as healthy as they can be through diet and lifestyle changes.


When I’m not working I enjoy hiking and yoga, movies, good food and travel.
